Lois Smith

Lois Jae Smith, formerly of Baggs, Wyoming, passed away October 2, 2024, at Sheridan Memorial Hospital in Sheridan, Wyoming at the age of 92.

Lois was born in Cle Elum, Washington on May 3^rd, 1932.  She married Bob Smith of Torrington, Wyoming in 1951.  They spent the first 10 years of their marriage in Scottsbluff and Sidney, Nebraska, moving to Powder Wash in 1963.  They had 4 children: Debbie, Claudia, Doug, & Beth.  They then lived their life living in gas camps (Powder Wash and Hiawatha) and Baggs, Wyoming.  They loved to travel and visit family.

Lois was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and friend.  She enjoyed gardening, sewing, cooking and painting.  In later years in the assisted living facilities, she was a friend to many, advocate to some, and loving to all.

Lois is survived by her children Debbie (Duane) Rodewald; Claudia (Lee) Fyock; Beth (Dennis) Shorma; and Doug Smith.  She is also survived by her grandchildren Aimee (Flint) Haskins; Michelle (John) Christopher; Travis (Shelly) Rodewald; Tim (Anna) Rodewald; Robyn (Rob) Riggins, Claiton (HyeRim) Fyock; Mitchell (Alysia) Fyock; Erin (Justin) Schaefer; Rachel (Brian) Mealor; and her great-grandchildren Katie, Courtney; and Justin Haskins; Blake and Nathan Rodewald; Bracken, Grady, Sawyer, and Weston Mealor; Nataleigh, Isannah, Duncan, Joshua, and Callen Riggins; Avery and Remy Fyock;.  Lois was preceded by her husband, Robert D. Smith.

Funeral services for Lois are to be held October 19, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at Faith Lutheran Church in Craig, Colorado. Online condolences may be made to www.sheridanfuneral.com. Arrangements are under the care of Sheridan Funeral Home.
