Carl “Ed” Schleichardt

Carl Edward (Ed) Schleichardt passed away peacefully on Friday, February 23, 2024, with his son, Edward, and family by his side.
Ed was born on January 10, 1942, to Carl Fred and Edna May Schleichardt in Spearfish, SD. He grew up in Sundance, WY, and attended Sundance High School. Ed went to work for Nicholson Sawmill in the early 1960s, drove a truck for Consolidated Freightways, and then went to work for Wyoming Sawmills in Sheridan, WY. He worked there for 40 years and met many lifelong friends. He married the love of his life, Carol Ann, in 1972, and were married for 50 years until her passing on December 29, 2022.
Ed enjoyed competition shooting and later got into old tractor pulls, where he would win several
plagues and trophies throughout the years. He loved his John Deere Tractors.
He had two children, son, Edward (Sunni), grandsons, Blake and Colton, daughter, Lori Kay Miller (John), grandkids, Tasha, Amanda, and Robbie.
He will be very missed by family and friends.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, March 2, 2024, at 4pm, with Cody Haar officiating at Kane Funeral Home.
