Charles Petersen

Chuck was the 2nd of 6 children born to Vivian and Alva Petersen of Sterling, Iowa. He came into this world during a blizzard. This may have contributed to his great strength and resilience. After proudly serving in the Air Force he returned to Clinton, Iowa, and was an excellent mechanic, sheet metal worker, and Jack of All Trades. Chuck and his family lived along the Mississippi River in Thomson, IL before finally settling in Story, WY. He was surrounded by loved ones when his soul quietly slipped away and traveled on to the next adventure. Chuck was preceded in death by his parents and brothers Tom and Norm. He is survived by his wife, Ginny; children Trevor, Tiffany, and Joe; siblings June, Sharon, and Doug; and beloved grandchildren Sydney, Brayden, Dayne, Leven, Bella, Ellie, and Evie. Chuck was an avid outdoorsman and we’ll always remember him whenever we’re able to spend a moment or two in nature.
