Dean was a classmate of mine and a good friend. We talked almost every week, usually about his son Sam and Sam’s archery hunting and about his granddaughter, Lani. He was so proud of what they had both achieved, especially Lani winning the pole or barrel racing for her age group at the rodeo. I would always get at least one hunting trip or adventure from his guiding of hunters for big game animals. He was a great man, working with disabled vets, getting them on hunts and helping them get their animals. Dean always told me the most important people where his friends and particularly his son and granddaughter. He loved them very much. I will miss our phone conversations and friendship. God is taking good care of him now and all his aches and pains are gone. God bless him and his family.

Dean was a great companion no matter what activity we were up to. We had many conversations over coffee at the Ritz Sporting Goods lunch counter. We hunted and fished all over the world right there at 135 North Main. If you needed anything Dean was your guy to help out. I’ll miss seeing him in the summer driving that old Willys Jeep around town. Condolences to Sam and family.

Dean, what a guy. Amazing wit, tremendous stories. He always entertained us at the pharmacy. If ya had to be stranded with one person, he’d be the guy. Glad I could be your pharmacist for 14 years.
