Rena Lynn Roediger was born on March 18, 1957, on the March Air Force Base in Riverside County, California, to Richard and Joan Roediger.  A feisty redhead, she grew up and went to school in Vacaville, California, at Alamo Elementary School in one of their first Special Education classes. Rena had become brain-damaged due to encephalitis in 1962. She eventually lived in group homes in both California and Wyoming and also lived with her younger sister, Mary Greenlee, and her nieces in Casper. Her last home was with her loving caretaker, Lorrie Wells.

Rena had many joys in her life, especially watching the Wizard of Oz and singing both Beatles and Elvis Pressley songs. She loved to do crafts. When visiting her parents in Buffalo, she loved to “drag Main Street.” She is survived by two sisters, Dana Harris and her husband Jim of Lovell, Wyoming, and Karen Clark of Fort Bragg, California; one brother Ed Roediger and his wife Sue, of Dixon, California. She was also the beloved aunt of many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Mary Greenlee.
