Allen Ray Tift, resident of Sheridan Wyoming, formerly of Cumberland Wisconsin, passed away on October 4th, 2022, in Sheridan Wyoming at the age of 88 years.
The grave-site service will be held on Friday October 14th at 2pm in Cody Wyoming at Riverside Cemetery.
Allen was born June 21st, 1934, in Westgate Iowa. He attended school thru 8th grade until his father passed away, and he quit school to help his mother with the family farm.
Al met the love of his life, Sharon Simpson, in 1955, and they were married on September 6th, 1957, and relocated to Clear Lake Wisconsin in 1958. Together they had 4 children, one girl Cheryl that passed away in 1996, and 3 boys, Cal from Powell Wyoming, Jeff from Banner Wyoming, and Stacey from Cumberland Wisconsin.
Al spent his life with livestock. His true passion was buying, trading, and selling horses and mules. He also spent many years as a dairy farmer and raising pigs, chickens, sheep, and exotic cattle. The Waverly Iowa draft horse and mule sale, and Jake Clark mule sale were his two favorite sales to be a part of. Al and Sharon were married for 65 years last September. Al spent his later years doing leather work and dealing in horse-drawn machinery.
