Patricia May

Patricia A. May of Sheridan passed away peacefully on June 18, 2022, in the comfort of her own home surrounded by her loving family. During her time on earth, she touched many lives and was dearly loved by so many.

Pat was born February 24, 1943, in St Paul, MN to James Whittier and Marjorie Ward. She was the youngest of four children. She met Clarence (Red) May in St Paul and they married on February 10, 1964. Shortly after marrying, they moved to Sheridan where they started their family. Pat worked for the VA but her greatest joy was her children James (Jim) and Abby. Later that joy continued with her daughter-in-law Gemma Torrestre and son-in-law Jerry Schultz, plus her four grandchildren. Pat would brag to everyone about her family. Her family was very important to her.

Pat is survived by her children Jim and Abby and her grandchildren Joshua, Robert, Mark, and Merlita. She was preceded in death by her husband Clarence, her parents, and her brothers Rock, Jim, and Pete. Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, June 22, 2022, with Father Glenn Whewell officiating. Pat will be laid to rest next to her husband “Red” at the Sheridan Municipal Cemetery.
