Carolyn Glover

Carolyn Glover passed away peacefully on Friday, April 1, 2022, in Sheridan Wyoming, she was 88 years old.

She was born Alma Carolyn Luginbyhl on the Luginbyhl family homestead in Stinnett, Texas, on September 7, 1933. She was the youngest of nine children born to Cleora Zell Ingram and Oliver Wesley Luginbyhl.

Carolyn’s mother died when she was an infant and she was raised by her Aunt Ollie and Uncle Fred Finley in Borger, Texas. She graduated from Borger High School and earned a degree in Music Education from Frank Phillips College. While in college she met Eldon Marshall and they married and had three sons. Carolyn was widowed in 1973 and married Wayne Glover in 1977. Wayne was widowed with four grown children. The two families blended wonderfully and the love that Carolyn brought to everyday life brought joy to all who knew her.

Carolyn was widowed again in 2000 and moved in with her son and daughter-in-law. She was a big part of her grandchildren’s lives and was adored by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Carolyn loved the Lord and was a lifelong Baptist. During her long and happy life she lived in Texas, Colorado, Arizona and Wyoming.

Carolyn was preceded in death by her two husbands, Eldon Marshall and Wayne Glover, and children Linda Holland (Glover), Stephen Glover and David Marshall. She is survived by daughter, Laura Long (Glover) and sons Roger Glover, Stephan Marshall and John Marshall. Carolyn loved all of her children’s spouses but was especially close to daughters-in-law Kathy Marshall and Lisa Marshall. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday April 9, 2022, at Willow Grove Cemetery in Buffalo, Wyoming, with Father Peter Johnson officiating. Online condolences may be made to www.sheridanfuneral.com.  Arrangements are under the care of Sheridan Funeral Home.
