Sheridan County Accepts Hazardous Materials Grant

A Hazardous Materials Emergency Planning Grant and a sub-agreement between the county and Sheridan Fire & Rescue have been approved by the county commission.

County Emergency Management Coordinator Bruce Edwards explained what the grant covers.

The nearly $36,000 grant includes nearly $29,000 in federal funding channeled through the Wyoming Office of Homeland Security and includes a roughly $7,000 local match that will be paid through a cash in-kind recognition of the local Emergency Planning Committee, so there will be no outlay for either Sheridan County or the City of Sheridan, according to
