A fire burning northwest of Dayton has not grown much since it was discovered.

The Smith Creek Fire has burned about 3 acres of BLM land, and it’s been determined that it was caused by lightning.

About 20 firefighters are battling the blaze, and there has been some air support as well.

Some smoke has been visible from the fire, however a Bighorn National Forest spokesperson says most of the smoke in the air is from fires that are burning in Montana, Idaho, Oregon and California.
