Pat BlairThe Food Bank of Wyoming is sending a pop-up mobile pantry to Sheridan next week.
Karen Walters, who’s the food bank’s food security ambassador, said food from the pantry is distributed free, and there are no qualifications to receive the food.
The pantry will be in Tech Parking Lot K at Sheridan College on Friday, May 7, and distribution will start at 1 p.m.
People who come for the food distribution are asked to stay in their vehicles to maintain social distancing and safety. They are also asked to make sure there is room for the food in their vehicles.
The pre-packaged food will be in boxes that volunteers will place in the vehicles.
According to a news release from the organization, Food Bank of Wyoming is committed to serving all Wyomingites in need and is doing everything possible to ensure that all Wyoming residents have access to the most basic of needs – food.
