In the largest number of prisoners ever sentenced at one time in the history of Sheridan county, District Court Judge Burgess sentenced seven men to the state penitentiary and one to a term in the county jail late this afternoon.
The Sheridan chapter of the Red Cross has issued an appeal for used clothing with which many calls for aid can be met.
Five pounds of sugar is 48 cents at the Basket Stores and Market in Sheridan.
The Presbyterian girls are having a bake sale this afternoon at the gas company office.
Miss Flora Hardin is spending a few days in Cheyenne as the guest of friends.
