3rd Thursday | Virtual Concert Series canceled for rest of season

Earlier this summer, the 3rd Thursday Street Festival Committee made the difficult decision to cancel the physical street festival held in downtown Sheridan. To find ways around the COVID-19 set back, the committee hosted a 3rd Thursday – Virtual Concert Series via Facebook Live.
The Craft Brothers kicked off the summer in June and Sidetrack performed in July. In a press release, the Sheridan Downtown Association said they are grateful that both bands were willing to perform free of charge in front of a crowd that only included workers and a few volunteers.
SAGE Community Arts also hosted a Quick Draw during the concert. In the press release from the SDA, the organization said they are thankful for the time and effort that each artist put in to create what SDA members called a “beautiful masterpiece.”
Although two more months remain in the season, the committee has made the decision to cancel the 3rd Thursday – Virtual Concert Series for the remainder of the season.
“We are thankful for the community’s continued support during these difficult and unknown times. We are thankful for those who tuned in to the Virtual Concert Series with us, and those who volunteered their time for the events. Our committee is looking forward to 2021 when we can hopefully gather on Main Street for the 3rd Thursday Street Festival that we all know and love,” SDA said in the release.
The SDA also thanked their season sponsors: Cloud Peak Lanes, City of Sheridan, First Federal Bank & Trust, Hammer Chevrolet, Sportsman’s Warehouse and the WYO Theater.
