Sports will be part of the fall activities at Sheridan County School District 1.

In a recent interview with Sheridan Media, School District Superintendent Pete Kilbride said there had been some uncertainty about that until recently.

As an example, Kilbride said, with golf, there’s a limit of around 50 players on a nine-hole course, and a little over 100 on an 18-hole course. He said the intent is to avoid having numbers of players grouping together.

He said numbers of spectators also has been limited. At present, the limit is 250 people for both indoor and outdoor events, but Kilbride said he knows another look is being taken at the outdoor numbers.

Regardless, he said, there will be sports this fall. Sheridan County School District 1 operates schools in Big Horn and the Tongue River Valley, including high schools in Big Horn and Dayton.
