Seventy-five people attended Wednesday’s Sheridan County Chamber of Commerce luncheon, but that was a “great turnout,” according to CEO Dixie Johnson, considering the luncheons have been on hiatus for several months.

Johnson said there were some changes from past luncheons in keeping with COVID-19 restrictions, including how the food was served. Instead of a buffet, the meals were served at the tables by Holiday Inn staff.

Johnson said that’s a trend that will continue into the future, so the Chamber is asking people to make reservations in advance – even if just on the day before – so an accurate attendance number can be provided to the Holiday Inn.

Johnson added it would be great if people could also pay for their meals in advance.

Another change, she said, was that the numbers of people per table at the event were smaller. She said she noticed a lot of people were sitting with their co-workers at the tables.

Range co-hosted Wednesday’s luncheon, which featured county and municipal officials providing updates on Sheridan County, the city of Sheridan and the other municipalities in the county.
