Sheridan Memorial Hospital is reaching out to residents in search of healthy donors needed for the community blood drives scheduled for next week.
The drives will be held on Monday, July 27, from 11 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. and Tuesday, July 28, from 10:30 a.m. – 3 p.m. at the Best Western Sheridan Center.
According to a Sheridan Memorial press release, all blood types are currently in demand, with an especially high need for type O, A-negative and B-negative red blood cells.
Donors are strongly urged to schedule an appointment by going online to vitalant.org or by clicking here or calling 877-258-4825. Walk-ins are welcome for those unable to schedule an appointment.
Donors can complete a health history questionnaire on the day of the drive at www.vitalant.org\health. Donors will be screened upon arrival and must wear a mask or other face covering.
