AHCC DON Reports Issue With Wandering Prevention Platform

Amie Holt Care Center (AHCC) Director of Nursing (DON) JoAnn Kay,during her report to the Johnson County Hospital Board this month, was asked how the new WanderBlue system, designed to keep residents from leaving the building without staff’s knowledge, was working.

She said there was one issue that needs corrected.

Kay also reported that as of July 22, there were 39 residents in the care center, remaining steady from May and June.

The maximum number of residents the facility can handle is 42.

The occupancy rate sits at 87.16%, with an average stay for residents at 722 days.
