Upcoming Chamber Candidate Forums
Sheridan County Chamber of Commerce Chief Executive Officer Teresa Detimore has announced dates and locations for the upcoming 2026 Candidate Forums.
The Chamber’s Government Affairs Committee hosts Candidate Forums during election years to give the public an opportunity to learn more about the candidates hoping to represent them at local levels of government.
Detimore said this is also an opportunity for the public to ask the candidates questions. Public questions are currently being collected by Chamber Office Manager Stephen Dow.

Mr. Dow,
I’ve been doing these since 2014 and have noticed that the questions sometimes take longer to ask, than the time allotted to answer. Would suggest asking simple, straight-forward questions like:
-Do you prefer Higher or Lower taxes?
-Are property taxes too high or too low?
-What are your solutions to the sales tax rate?
-Property tax rate?
-Is where you were born an issue that matters?
Thanks,
Dennis
