SHS graduate honored by Veterans
Mariah Pierce, who graduated from Sheridan High School May 24, 2026, was honored by the Mountain Warriors at the VFW Post 1560 Wednesday, May 27, 2026. The group presented her graduation gifts for not only graduating but also making 500 wooden flags in the last three years. Pierce said the project started as her girl scout project and each flag takes about an hour to make.
Pierce explains why she did the project.
Mountain Warriors” Warren Tritschler was the recipient of one of Pierce’s flags which was special to him.
Tritschler told Pierce that she can also become a Mountain Warrior if that is her wish.
