Goni Announces Candidacy for Johnson County Treasurer 

Darcy Goni has announced her candidacy for Johnson County Treasurer.

According to her release, she brings a strong commitment to fiscal responsibility, transparency, and community-focused service.

She has a deep appreciation for the importance of sound financial management, and aims to ensure taxpayer dollars are handled efficiently, responsibly, and with full accountability. 

She said, “I am running for County Treasurer because I believe our community deserves trustworthy leadership that prioritizes transparency and careful stewardship of public funds. I am committed to serving with integrity and making sure every dollar is managed in the best interest of our community.”

Goni has years of experience in government finance, nonprofit and public accounting and management which has prepared her to take on the responsibilities of County Treasurer with diligence and professionalism.

Her campaign will focus on four priorities: (1) Transparency: Providing open, accessible financial reporting to the public. (2) Accuracy: Ensuring precise accounting and reliable management of county funds. (3) Efficiency: Streamlining operations and adopting modern practices to improve service.

And (4) Collaboration: Working with other county officials, offices and residents to plan wisely and invest in our county’s future.
