Community blood draws are scheduled in Ranchester and Dayton later this month.

The Ranchester draw will be on July 29 from 6:30 to 9:30 a.m. at the Tongue River Valley Community Center. In Dayton, the blood draw will be on July 30 from 6:30 to 9:30 a.m. at the Tongue River Valley Community Center.

Both blood draws are open to anyone, and results of the screenings will be mailed to participants after the events.

The blood draws are sponsored by Sheridan Memorial Hospital.

Unless they are diabetics, blood draw participants should fast for 12 hours prior to the screening and should drink plenty of water during the fast. They can also drink black coffee or tea.

Each person who has blood drawn will be put into a drawing for $25 in Chamber bucks. Drawings are sponsored by the Tongue River Valley Community Center, and there will be one drawing at each location.

Costs for the screening are $50 for a wellness panel with TSH; $15 for a complete blood count; $30 for a PSA for men; $5 for a colorectal screening kit; and $35 for a diabetic management panel, which includes glucose and A1c.
