Jo Co Commission OK’s Funds for Clear Creek Gauge Replacement

A gauging station on Clear Creek below Tie Hack Dam is failing and the Johnson County Commission approved funding to help with the cost of replacing it.

County Emergency Management Coordinator Jimmy Cataline came before the commission to explain the issue and ask for funding.

Cataline explained he was concerned with public safety, which is why he was asking the county to fund the cost of replacing the gauge.

The commission voted to approve just under $3,000 to replace the unit.
