New City Attorney Contract Addressed by City Council
An item that was approved under the consent agenda portion of Monday night’s Sheridan City Council business meeting was a new contract for City Attorney Brad Thimmesch. The City currently contracts for City Attorney services with Thimmesch through an agreement originally approved by the Governing Body on February 19, 2024 with the law firm Yonkee and Toner. City Administrator Stu McRae said the new contract is needed because Thimmesch has switched law firms.
McRae said the new agreement maintains the same general structure, scope of services, and compensation terms as the prior agreement, as legal services will continue to be billed at $225 per hour for general legal services.
