Pat BlairA concert in celebration of the Spirit of Sheridan will be open free to the public Thursday starting at 6:30 p.m. at the Whitney Commons.
Paul DelRossi, with Sheridan’s Concert in the Park, in a recent Public Pulse talked about how the event came about.
In addition to Eferobor, the event will feature Conversations, the Craft Brothers and other local musicians along with food and beverage vendors and an ice cream vendor.
DelRossi said the event truly is about celebrating the spirit of Sheridan.
Rod Jost, another of the event organizers, said there will be a variety of music. He said the Craft Brothers are the headline group for the event, and they have been totally on board with the concert. Jost said there will be something for everyone, ranging from country and Americana to jazz and fusion.
DelRossi said amid the celebration, there will be signs and other reminders to encourage people to stay safe by observing social distancing.
But, he said, Whitney Commons offers lots of space, and people need this time together as a community to have some fun. He said people are encouraged to bring their lawn chairs and blankets.
More than a concert, he said, the event will be a festival.
