Sheridan Elementary School Principal Selected As New Assistant Superintendent For SCSD#2
A Sheridan Elementary School Principal will soon become the #2 person within Sheridan County School District #2.
At its recent monthly board meeting, the District Board of Trustees approved Sagebrush Elementary School Principal Justin Rohrer, as the new Assistant Superintendent of Instruction and Personnel, beginning next school year.
Current Superintendent Scott Stults is resigning from his position at the end of this school year, to become the executive director of the Wyoming Association of School Administrators, and current assistant Rebecca Adsit has been named to take his place.
Rohrer is currently in his 4th year as principal.
He says he credits his older brother Kyle, who is the current principal at Powell Middle School as an inspiration, and explains why he chose to apply for the new position.
“I think wanting to help the district on a grander scale, knowing that I love Sagebrush and everything that everybody has done for me here and the parents and handling students, but hoping to have an impact on not just the Sagebrush community, but the Sheridan community as well.”
According to a media release, the school district is in the process of selecting a new principal for Sagebrush Elementary, with the goal of hiring in the coming weeks.
