Pickleball clinic at Sheridan County YMCA

There were approximately 20 students in the first hour and a half of a four-hour pickleball clinic at the Sheridan County YMCA Thursday, Feb. 26, 2026. Sam Giese of the Bighorn Mountain pickleball club was the lead instructor. Other instructors included Tom Harper and Scott Weischedel.

U. S. Navy veteran Bruce Shell, who served during the Vietnam War era and was in Desert Storm, said players his age should not try to go for all the balls. “There is going to be ones you can’t get. It’s OK, it is just a game,” he said.
