Sheridan Commission Tables Sackett Subdivision Preliminary Plat
At a recent meeting, Sheridan County’s Commissioners considered the Sackett Subdivision Preliminary Plat.
According to the report from the Public Works Department, Steve Bush applied for a subdivision permit on a 14.4-acre property located on Highway 87 in Sheridan County.
The applicant is proposing the creation of seven single-family residential lots ranging from 2.0 to 2.31 acres.
Two variance requests were submitted with the preliminary plat, including relief from the maximum length of a dead-end road standard of 1,200 feet; and relief from the public road access easement of 60 feet, down to a private access easement of 25 feet.
A number of adjacent property owners spoke against the second variance request during the Public Hearing.
The commission voted to approve the maximum length of road variance but denied the second variance.
County Planner Mark Reid suggested action to the commission.
The commission voted to approve tabling the issue.
