Buffalo Mayor on One-Percent Deadline, Attorney Appointment

During the most recent Buffalo City Council meeting, Buffalo Mayor Shane Schrader announced that applications for One-Percent funding from the city and county are due before the end of February.

Applications for the Johnson County/City of Buffalo One Percent funds will be taken until 5 p.m. on Friday, February 27, and can be turned in to the Johnson County Commissioner’s Office, or Buffalo City Hall.

Applications are available at city hall and the county courthouse, or online at the county website.

Mayor Schrader also asked for approval of his recommendation for city attorney.

The council approved Kirven as city attorney for 2026.

    Thought the voters wisely got rid of that stupid tax.
