Jo Co Commission Makes County Board Appointments

Johnson County’s Commissioners have appointed individuals to a number of positions on county boards.

Open were one position each on the Airport Board; Buffalo Trial Board; Fair Board; Planning & Zoning Commission; Predator Board; Recycling Center JPB; Johnson County Tourism/Lodging Tax Board; and the Library Board.

Also, two positions were filled on the Mountain Plains Heritage Park Board.

Appointments to County Boards:

Airport Board, Bob Perry to a five-year term that expires on December 31, 2030.

Buffalo Trails Board, Jim Dawson to a three-year term ending on December 31, 2028.

Fair Board, Matt Rabel to a five-year term that expires on December 31, 2023.

Mountain Plains Heritage Park Board, Vicky Gearhart and George Korhel to two-year terms ending on December 31, 2027.

Planning & Zoning Commission, Travis Pearson to a term ending December 31, 2029.

Predator Board, Sportsman, Rod Litzel to a term ending December 31, 2028.

Recycling Center JPB, Kris Whitney to a three-year term Ending December 31, 2028.

Library Board, David Romtvedt to a term ending June 1, 2028.

Johnson County Tourism/Lodging Tax Board, Mara Abbot to a term ending December 31, 2028.
