Sheridan/Johnson County Unemployment Rates Increase In November 2025

North-Central Wyoming unemployment numbers jumped in November of last year and part of that is due to summer-time seasonal jobs ending.

The Wyoming Department of Workforce Services says the state wide seasonally adjusted unemployment rate increased from 3.3% in September to 3.4% in November.

It was at 3.6% in November of 2024.

The US Seasonally adjusted unemployment rate for November was at 4.6%, which is up from 4.4% in September and up from 4.2% compared to November 2024.

Sheridan County’s unemployment rate in November was at 3.3%, which is up from 2.7% in September and down from 3.5% in November of 2024.

Johnson County’s rate in November was at 3.1%, which is up from 2.2% in September, and down from 3.3% in November of 2024.

Due to the government shutdown, the US Bureau of Labor Statistics did not collect household survey data in October and announced it will not be collected retroactively.

Nonfarm employment in the Cowboy State increased by 100 jobs from November of 2024 to November of 2025.
