Keeping it Local With Chamber Bucks
A program through the Sheridan County Chamber of Commerce helps keep money local. Sheridan Media’s Ron Richter has the details.
The Chamber Bucks program through the Sheridan County Chamber of Commerce began in 1993 and issued $2,700 in Chamber Bucks that first year. Chamber Bucks are actual checks purchased through the Chamber of Commerce. They are used like cash at participating local businesses and are backed by Chamber funds. During a report to the Sheridan City Council on Monday, December 15, Chamber CEO Teresa Detimore provided information regarding their Chamber Bucks program.
Chamber Bucks can be purchased at the Sheridan County Chamber of Commerce at 54 South Main Street. The last day to get Chamber Bucks in time for Christmas is Tuesday, December 23.
