Johnson County Receives Census Recognition

Buffalo Mayor Shane Schrader sent out a release Tuesday about Johnson County being recognized by the U.S. Census Bureau for an accomplishment late last month.
According to the release from Tammi Hanshaw, Wyoming Partnership Specialist
with the U.S. Census Bureau, Johnson County finished second for the highest daily total self-response rate on May 28th, an increase of 2.8%.
That was just behind first-place Worth County, Missouri at 3.1% and just ahead of third-place Stark County, Illinois at 2.3%.
Hanshaw said in the release, “Congratulations, partners. Way to Cowboy Up. And thank you for all of your support of the 2020 Census.”
Mayor Schrader said, “Great news. A big congratulations to Johnson County for making National Self-Response headlines for May 28.”
