Game and Fish announces two upcoming public meetings regarding regulation changes

The Wyoming Game and Fish Department Sheridan Regional Office has announced two upcoming public meetings on proposed fishing, watercraft and licensing regulation changes. 

The public is invited to participate in these two meetings to discuss multiple Game and Fish proposed regulations.

The first meeting will begin at 3 p.m. May 19, a virtual meeting will be offered to discuss the following proposed regulations:

Chapter 22: Watercraft Regulations

Chapter 46: Fishing Regulations

The second meeting offered by the Sheridan Region will be an in-person public meeting at 5 p.m. also on May 19, at the Sheridan Regional Office to discuss the following proposed regulations: 

Chapter 42: Mountain lion hunting seasons

Chapter 44: Regulation for Issuance of Licenses, Permits, Stamps, Tags, Preference Points and Competitive Raffle Chances

Chapter 47: Gray wolf hunting seasons

According to the Department, an in-person meeting will not be held in the Sheridan Region on chapters 22 and 46, but members of the public are welcome to join the virtual meeting and are able to provide comments online.

Written comments for each of the chapters listed above will be accepted through 5 p.m. on June 10, at public meetings, online or by mailing:

Written comments shall be presented to the Game and Fish Commission prior to the public hearing at its July 2025 meeting in Evanston.
