Friends of the Library seeking new dedicated members

Sheridan County Library System Director Amy Long made an appearance on Sheridan Media’s Public Pulse seeking some dedicated members of the public to join a tour de force organization.
The Friends of the Library was founded in 1964. According to Long, for over half a century, the Friends have brought together a wide variety of individuals to promote the library system and its services, raise money to assist the library with purchases, and communicate with library staff and the community about library needs. Through the involvement of the Friends, the Sheridan County Library System began taking part in the Sheridan County Chamber of Commerce Christmas Stroll.

The Friends of the Library are currently looking for new members and have several Member-At-Large positions open. This all volunteer board meets once a month on the second Tuesday of every month at Fulmer branch.
Long is inviting any interested members of the public to drop into a meeting and see for yourself how the organization gets things done or send an email to friends@sheridanwyolibrary.org for more information.
