Sheridan County’s Commissioners voted to approve a loan application for the Sheridan County Public Library System.
The $1.4 million Capital Construction Loan, through the State Loan and Investments Board (SLIB) will be used for renovations on the Fulmer Public Library, according to Library Director Cameron Duff.
The library plans to repay the loan from funds from the Sheridan Library Foundation, the Homer A. and Mildred S. Scott Foundation, the Joe and Arlene Watt Foundation, and the Vernon S. and Rowena W. Griffith Foundation.
The $1.4 million loan is for a five-year term at 1% interest, according to discussions at Tuesday’s meeting.
