Museum at the Bighorns will invite questions during Christmas Stroll

Museum at the Bighorns Director of Museum Operations Chip King said the relocation of Sheridan’s museum is on schedule. 

In November of 2023, The Museum at the Bighorns announced plans to relocate to the historic Woolworth building at 171 North Main Str., in downtown Sheridan. 

Staff and volunteers have spent months inventorying the collections and preparing the collection for the move, which numbers more than 30,000 objects. 

King said the public will have the opportunity to view conceptual designs and ask questions during the upcoming Christmas Stroll.

This year’s Christmas Stroll will be held from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 29, 2024. Stroll button holders can begin checking for matching button numbers that morning. Main Street and Grinnell Plaza will be closed from 4 to 8 p.m. for hay wagon rides, marshmallow roasting, free food and beverages and more. Santa and Mrs. Claus will be visiting with children and available for photos at the WYO Theater from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 4:30 to 7:30 p.m.
