Ron RichterDiagonal parking at a First Interstate Bank location in Sheridan was an item of discussion at Monday night’s Sheridan City Council study session. Sheridan Media’s Ron Richter has the details.
City of Sheridan staff recommends that Mayor Rich Bridger and the City Council approve a resolution for diagonal parking on the north side of West Works Street between South Brooks Street and the alleyway to the west. City Engineer Thomas Morneau said First Interstate Bank at 24 South Brooks Street is looking to improve the parking on West Works Street for use by the bank as well as the community to improve downtown parking.
Morneau said the owner wants to design and construct improvements to West Works Street at the site of the First Interstate Bank Building and that currently this part of West Works Street serves as a driveway for the bank drive thru and there is no parallel parking there. The space would allow for four parallel parking spots. Adding diagonal parking at this location would allow for six diagonal parking spaces along the north side of West Works Street.
