Give your Heart to Child campaign 

The Sheridan County YMCA operates a scholarship program that ensures everyone can participate at the local YMCA.

That scholarship program is funded largely through donations made by Sheridan County residents. The Give your Heart to a Child campaign works to raise funds that are used exclusively for this scholarship program.  

While appearing on Sheridan Media’s Public Pulse, YMCA Executive Director Liz Cassiday talked about how those scholarships are used.

Every Fall season, YMCA employees and volunteers canvass the county looking for residents with big hearts to donate to the program. 

The program supports scholarships for many children to participate in YMCA sports, classes, camps, programs and memberships. Cassiday said the campaign also raises funds to support scholarships that can be used by people of all ages who meet the requirements.
