Aaron PalmerAn application for a quarry permit on a 15-acre area off of State Highway 338 was brought before the Sheridan County Commission at their last meeting.
County Engineer Mark Reid gave more details on the proposed project.
A number of people spoke against approving the quarry, before Nathan Mullinax talked about the proposed short-term project.
Commission Chair Nick Siddle said the commission does not take these applications lightly when considering approval.
The commission voted 4 to 1 to approve the quarry permit with Commissioner Tom Ringley voting against.
