Sheridan Community Land Trust will return to the rookery with Dr. Julie Rieder of Science Kids to see how the heron chicks are thriving in their treetop nursery in the sky.

Last year, participants had the opportunity to see chicks that were just about ready to take flight. This year, SCLT and Science Kids will be visiting the rookery a month earlier to see how they’re growing.

SCLT Director of Marketing and Development Chris Vrba, made the announcement during an appearance on Public Pulse and invited the community out to check on the heron chicks.

SCLT recommends dressing for weather. The event begins at 6 p.m. June 27, at the Sportsman’s Warehouse parking lot.
