Sheridan Veterans remains went unclaimed

The Sheridan County Coroner’s Office is searching for any family members of Gary Lynn Wheeler. 

A veteran of the US Army, Wheeler died on May 19, 2024 at the age of 68. Unfortunately, according to Sheridan County Deputy Coroner Melissa Reimers, no one has come forward to claim the remains of the veteran and despite their best efforts, the office has not been able to find anyone. 

Anyone who wishes to make a claim, should contact the Sheridan County Coroner’s Office at 307-675-9935.
