Aaron PalmerAmie Holt Care Center Director of Nursing Brenda Gorm, during her report to the Johnson County Healthcare Center’s hospital board, explained that a new requirement issued by the Biden Administration could create problems not only for AHCC, but for nursing homes nationwide.
She gave more details.
CEO Luke Senden explained that the Biden Administration has set aside $75 million to implement the rule, but by increasing staffing at nursing homes nationwide, the funding will not go very far.
Senden said Wyoming Senator Johns Barrasso is leading a push to get rid of the mandate by the Biden Administration.
Senden said representatives in the industry across the country are commenting on the mandate, saying it just isn’t sustainable.
He told the board he will continue to monitor the situation and keep them posted.
