A proposed two-year contract for the City of Sheridan to provide Goose Creek Transit $100,000 annually for fuel needed to operate the transit system is an item that will be considered by the Sheridan City Council at their business meeting Monday night. City Administrator Stu McRae said the Hub on Smith has provided a door-to-door transportation service since 1973 and that Goose Creek Transit began operating a fixed route service in 2019.

McRae said the money for the fuel does contribute towards The Hub’s grant matches.

The Council will also be considering first reading of an ordinance to change the start time of the business meetings from 7 to 5:30 pm and second reading of an ordinance to convert the responsibilities of the Board of Appeals to the Board of Adjustment. Monday night’s meeting will take place at 7 in Council Chambers on the third floor of Sheridan City Hall.
