The Fourth Annual Quilt show will be held at the Clearmont Historical Center throughout the month of March, which is National Quilt Month. Bring quilts to the Historical Center before Feb. 23 so they can be displayed.

Sandy Hirz, of the Clearmont Historical Center, talked about the upcoming show.

This year the quilts will be displayed on newly installed rails in the museum in the back room of the center, as well as in the front room. There is also track lighting to enhance the quilts in the back.

Hirz said that in previous years, quilters have brought in several items, and she thought that there were probably around 30 quilters represented. Most are from around the Clearmont area, but some come from Sheridan and Gillette as well.

She added that last year they received contact information so they can invite the same quilters back this year. She said that visitors to the show are urged to vote on their favorite quilt, and write comments about the quilts and the quilt show.

Fran Felz, quilter and member of the Clearmont Historical Group added,

Hirz talked about when the quilts should be brought into the Center for the show.

The quilts will be on display throughout the month of March. For more information and about when to bring the quilts and for March hours at the Center, text 307.752.9214 or email clearmonthistory@gmail.com.
