cvannoyFor the second time, the Kendrick Mansion at Trail End State Historic Site has been nominated as one of USA Today’s Best Holiday Historic Home Tours in the country—and you won’t want to miss seeing the mansion! The Kendrick Mansion is a 1913 historic house museum located at 400 Clarendon Avenue, Sheridan, on the grounds of Trail End State Historic Site.
Trail End is fully decorated for the season and is hosting its annual Holiday Open House on December 1, 2, and 3, from 4 p.m.-7 p.m. This is a family-friendly event with $4 admission for adults and no charge for children 17 and under (but they must be with an adult).
Visit with Father Christmas, listen to live music, and try the figgy pudding! New this year: On December 1 only, Shana Marie Moments Photography will be offering completely free photos with Father Christmas! Guests will be able to download their complimentary photos from her website after the event.
Visitors can also enjoy live music that changes on the hour each night, featuring instrumentalists and vocalists, the pump organ, hand bell choir, and a sing-a-long! For the full music line-up, please visit www.trailend.org. Special note: the hand bell choir will play its set four separate times, so there will be multiple opportunities to hear them!
And bring us some figgy pudding— when you stop by the kitchen to try some traditional figgy pudding with lemon sauce.
Please call Superintendent Sharie Shada at the museum with any questions: 307-674-4589.
