Clearmont Historical Center Presents Native American Programs

On Veteran’s Day, Saturday, November 11 at 11:00 a.m. the Clearmont Historical Group will hold a program honoring Native American veterans.

Mickey Wolf (Native American veteran) will be the featured speaker. Those attending can meet at the Clear Creek Valley Veteran’s Memorial for the program.

Refreshments will be served afterwards at the Historical Center where there will also be photos of area veterans. In case of inclement weather, the entire program will be held inside the Clearmont Historical Center.

On November 15 at 1 p.m., in honor of Native American Month, the Center will host a Plains Indians history presentation, featuring Shane Hampshire, who will talk about the Plains Indians that once lived in our area.

Mickey Wolf, Native American, will also speak. The Center will have on display a large collection of artifacts from area ranchers, and there will be refreshments following.
