The Sheridan County Commission has approved, on a split vote, an award of $100,000 in 1% funds to Goose Creek Transit for the 2023-24 fiscal year.

County Administrative Director Cameron Duff explained during this week’s commission meeting that the county had awarded $50,000 at this time last year to the HUB on Smith/Goose Creek Transit but they are seeking funding for the current fiscal year.

Commissioner Tom Ringley said although the service is needed in Sheridan, the HUB needs to find a way to fund the service without seeking it from the county.

The remainder of the commission shared the same concerns, including newly-appointed Commissioner Holly Jennings.

The commission voted in favor of awarding the funding to Goose Creek Transit, with Jennings voting against.

Finally, a real fiscal conservative on the board. Maybe if the board would quit spending our tax money willy-nilly, they could actually vote for lower taxes; instead of maximum mill rates and the highest in Wyoming sales Tax!

The Hub is a private, special interest group. It should not be getting a dime of tax-payer money. The people of Sheridan County are being taxed out of their homes and the Commissioners just doubled the amount of Taxpayer-supplied money to The Hub, a Private Entity. Just because someone has a “need” does not entitle them to our money. Meanwhile the Commissioners just re-imposed the Maximum Mill Rate on Property Taxes….then tried to blame the State Gov’t for the huge property tax hikes! And last year all commissioners supported re-imposing the Highest Sales Tax in Wyoming! Something has got to change! Maybe if our commissioners would stop spending like deranged socialist, we could finally get some tax relief.

The poll question is misleading. Local governments aren’t funding Goose transit, local Tax-Payers are! The gov’t first takes money from us, then hands it out to private organizations (in exchange for votes). And all taxes are collected by force. No one pays taxes voluntarily. Implied force is behind every tax in America! That’s why we need to limit all taxes and reduce all “gov’t” spending …before we all go bankrupt.

These three posts truly expose the real Dennis Fox. A Dennis Fox, who seems to be so engrossed in running for commissioner, he cares NOTHING about the handicapped, elderly and low income folks who ride this great transportation system EACH DAY!! Dennis, a good commissioner worries and cares for the people of the county FIRST!!!!!

A good commissioner is First and Foremost a good steward of spending our hard-earned tax money. Taxing those who produce and handing it out to those who don’t, is the essence of every Failed socialist system in the world. And socialist “re-distribution” of taxpayer money schemes, have failed everywhere they’ve ever been tried. America will be no exception, if we keep going down this road to socialist wealth destruction. It will end in disaster. And all the while cheered on by economic illiterates, pointing to a “need” that “must” be funded by confiscated wealth. But glad to see you’re back from being banned/vacation.

This post is simply more proof of the lack of regard you have for the PEOPLE that live in Sheridan County. “Banned/vacation” What a weak, cheap, transparent FALSE comment. Certainly Not one befitting a county commissioner.

I care deeply about the people of Sheridan County. Especially those being taxed to death by an over-spending , high-taxing, local gov’t. At a recent commissioner meeting they all agreed that “everybody wants the highest mill rate.” That shows the complete “lack of regard” our public servants have for the People of Sheridan County. It also demonstrates how out-of-touch they are with us. Everyone I know is screaming about the insanely high property taxes and they are demanding that something be done. But if you like high taxes and big-spending gov’t, go ahead and try to defend that socialistic position. Good luck. And instead of trolling on the internet, go run for office yourself. At least I’ve made the effort to stand in the arena. It’s easy to hide online and snipe at others…but then that’s why liberals do it….it’s easier than all the time, money and effort required to actually try to improve the world, by putting good ideas and solutions in front of the public.
