More evidence suggests things at Yellowstone National Park are back to where they were before the flood and before covid pandemic started.

The park reports there were more than 969,692 recreational visits in July 2023.

That’s up 63% compared to July of last year (596,562 visits), when the park had to close because of the historic flood.

Numbers for July of this year are also up 7% compared to July of 2019 (936,062 visits), which was before the covid pandemic started.

As of the end of July, the park has had 2,463,202 visits for the year, which is up 33% from this time last year (1,855,396 visits) and up 7% from 2019 (2,294,691 visits).

June, July and August tend to be the busiest months of the year for the park.
