cvannoyThe ancient Greeks and the Native American’s constellation tales will be featured on Thursday, June 29th, from 7:30-9 p.m. at Fort Phil Kearney. The title of the program is Night Sky Stories, and it will be held inside the Fort Phil Kearny Interpretive Center.
The night sky is filled with thousands of dazzling objects that have sparked imaginations for thousands of years. See constellations come to life on a screen as their stories are told.
The presenters will be using the Stellarium app projected in the Interpretive Center to tell a Greek constellation story.
Trey, American Interp Intern at FPK from the Northern Cheyenne tribal nation will tell a Northern Cheyenne constellation story. Then attendees will be invited to pick some stars and create a story for them or their family.
