Local Legislator’s Budget Amendment to Cut Spending Fails

Both versions of the budget for the next biennium in Wyoming have made it through 3rd reading in the House and Senate. Now, a conference committee of members from both bodies are working to rectify the differences and present a final product for the committee of the whole’s approval. Back when House Bill 1 was being read on third reading in the House, Local Representative Mark Jennings proposed an amendment to cut spending that was defeated.

While some of the amendments that were proposed for the measure have their vote recorded on the Legislature’s website, there is no listing of what the margin of defeating Representative Jennings’s bill was. To view the amendment or the full budget bill, follow the links below.
